Prowess Partner Plans

Tasks

My role was to have the 150 calls with partners, speak to the head of sales to understand what our revenue goals are and what she needs when to reach them and speak to our COO to understand how we can make this happen that is both effective, efficient and profitable. The expectation is that I would come to them with a chart outlining the different types of partnerships, and what they would receive from Prowess Project. The challenges were that not all partners have the same goals, so I needed to take all the data and figure out what were the main themes, then tie it back to what Prowess Project and what is most beneficial for our Community.

Actions

1. Had 150 partner calls - Created a spreadsheet with name, goal, intended audience and next step. 2. Spoke to our Head of Sales and COO to understand what we needed to make happen to ensure that Prowess AND the Partners would benefit. 3. Built a draft of the partner offerings. 4. Share the draft with the team to ensure that I was hitting the mark. Got feedback from them, and made necessary changes. 5. Made changes & used Canva to create an external facing Partner offering document. 6. Shared it with some top partners to ensure that it gave them the outcomes they were looking for and vice versa. Took that feedback and made changes. 7. Rolled it out to the sales team by explaining what we were doing. 8. Went live!

EQ skills required

For this project, I had to use my EQ skill of listening to ensure that I understood what each partner and Prowess stakeholder wanted and needed. Compromise - Not all parties can get exactly what they want, so needed to know how to compromise, what to compromise on and how to communicate that was crucial.

Tech required

Trello, Slack, Zoom, Google Meets, Canva, Excel

Skills required

Business Development - I had to convince partners & Prowess stakeholders that a Partnership Program was in their best interest. Design - Creating a document that made sense for all partners and communicated information clearly.

Testimonial -

"Wow, I never thought that Ashley would come up with such a win/win Partner Program for all parties involved and so quickly! Her dedication to understanding what partners need was unparalleled and it shows by the early traction we are getting with partner interest." - Brittany, Prowess Head of Sales.
